The Atrix Omega Supreme MRI Hospital Vacuum is a dry service vacuum supplied with a 1-US-gallon (3.78 L) HEPA cartridge, a 15 ft. non-metallic ESD-safe hose and service attachments. Atrix identifies this 120V, 628W configuration for medical-facility and MRI-equipment cleaning. Its long hose allows the operator to reach equipment while positioning the vacuum separately, subject to the manufacturer's restrictions and the facility's MRI safety procedures.
MRI Placement and Operating Restrictions
The vacuum and power cord contain metal. This is not a claim of unrestricted MRI-room suitability. Atrix's exact-model MRI manual instructs users to keep the vacuum as far from the MRI machine as possible and outside the MRI room when possible. It also recommends having another technician hold the vacuum during operation when possible.
The manual marks the supplied 31651 power cord and AVPA016 shoulder strap as containing some magnetism and says they should be kept outside the MRI room. The hose and hose attachments are described as non-metallic. That description does not apply to the complete vacuum, cord or strap.
No numerical magnetic-field operating limit or formal MR Safe/MR Conditional designation has been verified in the reviewed Atrix documentation. The 15 ft. hose length is not a certified safe separation distance. Obtain clarification from Atrix and approval from the facility's MRI safety authority for the proposed setup before MRI use. Read the VACOSMRI MRI instruction manual before operation.
HEPA Collection for Dry Service Work
The included OF612HE cartridge is rated at 99.97% efficiency at 0.3 micron. The one-gallon cartridge uses 56-pleat media with cellulose, glass silicate and polyester layers. A filter plug is included for closing the cartridge inlet during changeout; unplug the unit and follow Atrix's removal and disposal instructions.
HEPA filtration is a particle-filtration feature. It does not establish sterilization, disinfection, infection-control certification or approval for a regulated hazardous-material cleanup. Assess the material to be collected and the facility's procedures before use.
Static Control and Service Reach
Atrix describes this exact model as ESD-safe, with a static path to ground, a non-metallic ESD-safe hose, crevice tool and flexible gooseneck tool. A built-in electronic line filter minimizes EMI/RFI noise emissions. These features support static-sensitive service work while preserving the need for proper grounding and the equipment manufacturer's service precautions.
The manufacturer publishes 99 CFM airflow and a 69 dB noise level. An Ametek Advantek II motor carries a manufacturer rating of 1,000 hours, and a resettable thermal cutout stops the unit if it overheats. The detachable 10 ft. power cord and 15 ft. hose provide placement options; they do not override MRI restrictions.

Intended Applications and Dry-Use Limits
Atrix identifies medical-facility maintenance and MRI-equipment cleaning as applications for VACOSMRI. Any MRI-related use must first satisfy the manufacturer's restrictions and the facility's approved setup. Hospital use does not mean the vacuum disinfects, sterilizes or carries infection-control certification.
Dry indoor use only. Do not collect liquids or wet material or use outdoors, on wet surfaces or in wet environments. Do not collect burning or smoking items, or use with flammable or combustible liquids or where they may be present. Connect to a properly grounded nominal 120V, 50/60Hz outlet; the MRI manual prohibits a plug adapter. Keep the filter installed and the lid securely latched.
This listing does not establish suitability or certification for asbestos, lead, silica, combustible dust or other hazardous-material collection.
Replacement HEPA Cartridge
OF612HE is the included cartridge and is expressly listed as a replacement HEPA filter in the exact-model MRI manual. Replacement cartridges are sold separately. Confirm replacement hoses and accessories with Atrix for this precise configuration and MRI-use restrictions before ordering.
